Dr. Sofie Ordies, PhD

Dr. Ordies is a consultant in Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine at Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg, Genk. 

She obtained her medical degree at the KU Leuven in 2016. Under supervision of Prof. Dr. Arne Neyrinck, KULeuven, she obtained her PhD entitled “Assessment and management of donor lungs for transplantation”. In 2018, she obtained a Master of Science in Health Care Management and Policy at the KULeuven. She subsequentially earned board certifications in Anaesthesiology (2023), Emergency Medicine (2024) and Intensive Care Medicine (2025). Moreover, she acquired her degree in Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine at the University of Geneva, Switzerland (2025).
