Prof. Dr. Pascal Vanelderen, PhD
Prof. Dr. Vanelderen is the head of the Emergency Department at Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg. In addition to specializing as an anesthesiologist, intensivist and emergency physician, he has completed additional training in pain medicine.
He obtained a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Nijmegen and holds a professorship at the University of Hasselt, where he is a member of the education management team and has numerous publications to his name.
He serves as the chairman of the Belgian professional association of emergency medicine (BeCEP). Additionally, he acts as a training supervisor and sits on the recognition committee for emergency medicine. Moreover, he is dedicated to the evolution of emergency departments and prehospital care, including involvement in organizations such as VAUG, DGH, and RIZIV.
