Dr. Xavier Willaert
Dr. X. Willaert graduated from the Catholic University of Leuven medical school magna cum laude in 2010. After completing his training in anesthesiology, he further specialized in critical care medicine during fellowships at ZOL Genk in Belgium and at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Canada. He further specialized in neuro-anesthesia and neuro-intensive care at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, UK. He started working as a consultant at ZOL Genk in 2018. He has a master of Science in Hospital Management. In his work at ZOL, he mainly focuses on intensive care medicine and neuro-anesthesia. He has a special interest in training residents and fellows in intensive care medicine. He is also actively involved in both academic and non-academic research and is a member of the EuroNeuro organizing committee.
