Dr. Tom Fret

Dr. Fret is a consultant in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine at Ziekenhuis Oost Limburg, Genk. 

After his specialist training in anaesthesia, he completed an additional fellowship in cardiothoracic anaesthesia at the University of Alberta, Canada. He then remained at the same institution as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anaesthesia. He obtained the Special Competence In Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography, USA, 2006.

In 2015, he obtained a Master's degree in Insurance Medicine and Medical Liability and since 2020, he is a Certified Specialist in Insurance Medicine.

Special interests in cardiac procedures and medical liability.
