Dr. Margot Vander Laenen

Dr. Vander Laenen graduated magna cum laude from the University of Leuven in 1993. After completing her training in anesthesiology, she specialized in emergency medicine and obtained a postgraduate degree in disaster medicine. She subsequently obtained a degree in intensive care medicine. 

She is a consultant in anesthesiology and intensive care medicine at Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg, with a special intrest in infectiology, antibiotic stewardship and health care organisation. 

Dr. Vander Laenen is a member of the Flemish recognition committe in intensive care medicine and is president of the BBIZ (Belgian professional association of intensive care specialist).
