Dr. Hendrik Stragier

Dr. Stragier is a consultant in Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care Medicine, and Emergency Medicine at Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg in Genk. He earned his medical degree from KU Leuven, Belgium in 2014, and subsequently obtained board certifications in Anesthesiology (2019), Intensive Care Medicine (2020), and Emergency Medicine (2023). He furthered his expertise with an additional training fellowship in ICU at University Hospitals Leuven.

Certified in ALS, NLS, and ECLS specialist courses, Dr. Stragier also serves as an instructor for ATLS Belgium. Within the department, he oversees the educational program for anesthesia residents. His professional interests encompass thoraco-vascular anesthesia, neuro-anesthesia, and he is currently engaged in a PhD research project at MUMC.
