Dr. Griet Vermeulen

Dr. Vermeulen is consultant Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine at Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg, Genk. 

She combines her job in our department with her work in Defence where she serves as a medical advisor and is teamleader of the SO surgical team. She is specialised in medicine in remote and austere environments, trauma care, the management of mass casualties as well as in the treatment of burn patients.

Certificated in ALS, DSATC, instructor ATLS Belgium.

Our research department is at the forefront of innovation, dedicated to exploring new frontiers in intensive care, anesthesiology, emergency medicine and pain management.
