Pain Therapy
At the Multidisciplinary Pain Center of ZOL, recognized as a 'Center of Excellence in Pain Practice' by the World Institute of Pain, we offer a one-year specialized fellowship in Algology for certified anesthesiologists. This prestigious program provides comprehensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of acute, chronic, and palliative pain, using a multidisciplinary approach and cutting-edge interventional treatments.
Fellows will gain in-depth knowledge and practical skills through a structured, hands-on curriculum. Daily multidisciplinary consultations, regular team meetings, and monthly discussions with the Spine Unit ensure a collaborative learning environment that enhances clinical decision-making for complex pain cases. The fellowship progressively develops the independence of the participant, with mentorship and regular evaluations to ensure individualized growth.
In addition to clinical training, fellows will participate in scientific research, critical evaluation of academic literature, and poster presentations at (inter)national conferences. This ultimately results in participation in an international pain exam as a 'Fellow of the Interventional Pain Practice'.
